W&L 'COUNTESS' - ELECTRIC. We have announced our intention to develop an electric powered 'Countess', in brass construction. No details of specification, dates, or price have been set as yet. A sample is being made and will be put out for review. However the batch will only go ahead if we get in excess of 50 units ordered. This will be a Limited Edition, limited run model. The RRP looks as if it will be in the region of £995.00. The model is now in the late design stage. As soon as we have any further details they will be in a bulletin. We hope to test a sample at the factory in December.
NG15 This model is now in production and is due for testing during early December. This model will be a January 2011 model. We expect the price to be around £3500.00. There will be a maximum of 50 units produced, worldwide. Reservations for this model have now closed but we are opening a reserve list, should there be any cancelations. As we cannot get the final tender design from the Welsh Highland Railway - they cannot decide how it will be - the model will only be produced in the SAR version for the present. The model will also be available in all black, un-numbered and un-lettered.
CODE 332 EURO STYLE 45mm GAUGE '1' TRACK We now have good stocks of this track in both the flexi straights and all various radii of the curves. This is proving very popular as an alternative to LGB and Aristocraft; it is also very competitively priced. We are now stocking Accucraft rail joiners and rail clamps for Code 332 track.
W&L & ISLE of MAN COACH BOGIES We have had one or two requests to supply these as a separate item without wheels. However we would have to have these made in quantities of at least 200 sets. Our guess at the RRP would be about £25.00 per pair. If you have any interest please let us know. If we do not get reasonable quantities asked for we will not go ahead.
ORDERING OF RADIO CONTROL LIMITED RUN MODELS - COUNTESS AND LYN In the ordering of the last batches of these two models there have been many changes made to orders by dealers between manual and R/C. This has resulted in much confusion. We cannot allow this to happen in future as it has taken many hours to sort out and some people have not got there full allocations of models. In future in the initial stages of order taking we will only accept orders for manual models. We are asking that the dealers keep their own list of manual and R/C orders, as these seem to regularly change. When the locomotives have arrived at the docks in the UK we will e-mail or phone all dealers with orders to alert them to the fact that we will be contacting them when the locos are actually in our warehouse and ready for delivery, to ascertain how many models of their manual orders they want changing from manual to radio control. Straight after this we will dispatch the manual models and conversion of the radio control versions will commence. No changes to orders can be made after this point.
ISLE OF MAN 'CALEDONIA' LIVE STEAM AND ELECTRIC We have given the orders to the factory for this model. The batches are starting to fill up. If you require any of these models and do not have any on order please contact us without delay to avoid missing the batch. We are only doing manual control on the live steam models.
BAGULEY DIESEL We have developed a brand new 'all metal' chassis for this model. Drive is on to the centre axle and the model has all metal drive rods. We think the new RRP at today's VAT rate would be £255.00. If you think there is still a market for this model, in its new form we would be interested to here from you, and what new colours should be added to the range.
